Filtering Using Measures

Throughout this chapter, various techniques are used to demonstrate possibilities that arise when measures are not just used to calculate a numeric value but their use is extended to flag items if they meet a condition or, worse, if they do not meet a certain rule, meaning they violate a rule. These techniques are ranging from simple filtering to a more complex concept of dynamic binning. A use case for the latter will be to create a visual (to be precise a ribbon chart) that counts the number of customers whose activities can be grouped into a given bucket.
