Evaluation of the mechanical properties of CICC jacket for CFETR superconducting magnet

•The feasibility of SS 316LN and JK2LB jacket for future fusion reactor applications was evaluated.•Tensile test of SS 316LN and JK2LB jacket under different conditions were completed.•The heat treatment procedures of different superconducting materials have limited influence on the performance of the jacket.•Accumulated a lot of tensile properties of SS 316LN and JK2LB jacket at 4.2 K.
