Laparoscopy in the Management of Post-Cholecystectomy Bile Leaks

•Laparoscopy is an effective first-line tool to diagnose post-operative bile leak.•Unlike ERCP, laparoscopy allows thorough washout of abdominal contamination.•In selected patients, a bile leak can be repaired at the time of re-laparoscopy.•Patients undergoing laparoscopy may avoid ERCP.
