Manufacturing Robust MXene-based Hydrogel-Coated Cotton Fabric Via Electron-Beam Irradiation for Efficient Interfacial Solar Evaporation

•MXene-based hydrogel coated cotton fabrics (MHCFs) are facilely prepared.•Evaporation enthalpy of water on the MHCFs is effectively reduced.•MHCFs exhibit excellent stability under harsh conditions.•Continuously evaporating 3.5 wt% brine on cylinder evaporator averaged at 2.46 kg m–2h−1.
