Urban, and co-workers unleashed the full potential of hydrogen storage with rGO: This innovative material catalyzes hydrogen bond breakage at the Mg-amide/Li hydride interface, leading to faster dehydrogenation. The nanosizing effect of rGO shortens hydrogen diffusion paths, boosting the speed of dehydrogenation compared to conventional methods. This discovery offers a cutting-edge solution for designing metal imide composites that achieve optimal, efficient hydrogen storage performance.
