Objective To study the curative effect of varus osteoarthritis (KOA) combined with arthroscopic debridement and open wedge-shaped high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO).Methods From October 2019 to August 2020，70 patients with varus KOA in our hospital were selected as research objects，and were randomly divided into control group (n=35) and treatment group (n=35).The control group was treated with OWHTO，while the treatment group was treated with OWHTO+ arthroscopic joint cleaning.The operation indexes，pain visual analogue scale (VAS) score，knee joint range of motion (ROM) and complications were compared between the two groups.Results There were significant differences in operation index，VAS score and ROM between the two groups (P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in complications between the two groups (P＞0.05).Conclusion The combination of arthroscopic debridement and OWHTO for varus KOA is effective.
