Objective:To investigate the effect of levosimendan on left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and ventricular remodeling in patients with chronic heart failure. Methods:A total of 200 patients with chronic heart failure who were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Hubei University of Arts and Science from January 2018 to October 2020 were selected. According to alternating grouping method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 100 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional anti-heart failure drugs, while the observation group was treated with conventional anti-heart failure drugs and levosimendan. The total effective rate of treatment, cardiac function indexes and ventricular remodeling indexes before treatment and after 2 courses of treatment, including LVEF, left ventricular end-diastolic diameter (LVDD), cardiac output per stroke (SV), left ventricular diameter shortening rate (LVFS), left ventricular posterior wall thickness (LVPWT), ventricular septal end-systolic thickness (IVSS), and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group (99.00%, 99/100) was higher than that in the control group (91.00%, 91/100), and the difference was significant ( P<0.05). Compared with indexes before treatment, after 2 courses of treatment in the two groups, LVEF, SV, LVFS were increased, LVDD, LVPWT, IVSS were decreased, and the improvement in the observation group was more obvious ( t=6.66, 4.91, 4.36, 4.13, 5.42, 5.08; P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups ( P>0.05). Conclusions:Levosimendan has a significant effect in the treatment of chronic heart failure, it can delay ventricular remodeling, increase LVEF, and improve cardiac function in patients with high safety.
