Background and Aims Biliary stenting is essential for the management of biliary obstruction. All plastic biliary stent delivery systems in the United States require withdrawal of the guidewire upon stent deployment, mandating repeat cannulation when additional stents are required. A novel multiple biliary stent delivery system with a self-detaching tip preserves the index guidewire in situ after stent release, enabling rapid sequential placement of additional plastic stents. We report the first-in-human multicenter clinical experience with this device.
Objectives Burnout is underinvestigated in endoscopy. Given the increasing complexity of endoscopic practice, understanding burnout is crucial to addressing the problem and finding possible risk and protective factors.
Background and Study Aims The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) sets key quality indicators for esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD), including a minimum procedural time of 7 min and photodocumentation of landmarks. We evaluated AI-derived procedural times, physician variations, and the impact of AI suggestions on landmark documentation rates.
