A regional historical protection strategy identified as the historical Corridor integrates leisure, ecological, and cultural preservation. Since 2000, China has seen the emergence of a comprehensive regional heritage conservation tool that is capable of fully exploiting the tourism potential of both the natural environment and cultural heritage. The heritage corridor constructed according to the minimum cumulative resistance model (MCR) will further optimize the conservation and development mode of the region's cultural tourism resources. The least cumulative resistance model and the ArcGis 10.8 software platform are employed in this study to investigate the feasibility of developing prospective red cultural heritage routes in the Jinggang Mountain region. The study observed that: 1) the potential heritage corridors in the Jinggang Mountain area possess distinct veins and few branches in a "Y" radial pattern; 2) most of the corridors throughout the entire area are suitable for building heritage corridors based on the national and provincial roads in the Jinggang Mountain area; 3) to further connect the red cultural resources in Ganzhou and Hunan, the future development of cultural tourism in the Jinggang Mountain region should be expanded to the northwest and southeast. This would result in a regional red cultural tourism network with Jinggang Mountain serving as its core and red cultural heritage corridors as its support system. The results of the research provide strong support for the present situation of red cultural heritage protection and development in the Jinggang Mountain area, a theoretical foundation for future red cultural heritage protection and development there, and an overview of reference for the creation of red cultural heritage corridors throughout Jiangxi Province.
This paper compares the built environment, water quality and quantity performance of typical green infrastructures in the US,and reviews case studies of city-scale green infrastructure projects in New York City and Philadelphia to propose following suggestions for green infrastructure built in urban areas in China.(1)Combine the green infrastructure project with gray infrastructure retrofit plan.Select types and layouts of green infrastructure based on the local situation.Impel the right of way green infrastructure development.(2)Implement green infrastructure on both public and private lands.(3)Make maintenance manuals of green infrastructure, and maintain the green infrastructure both periodically and as needed.(4)Monitor long-term water quality and quantity data, start to build national-wide database for stormwater management.
The unique neighborhood style of Chinatown in San Francisco is influenced by the culture, history and social system of China and the United States. Through field research, Chinese and English literature collection, and spatial analysis, we interpret the motives for the evolution of its style. In the research process, we try to analyze the changes in the style of Chinatown in San Francisco and the driving force behind it from three scales: the overall city level, the building group level, and the street level. It is expected to explore how historical, cultural, and political systems and architectural forms interact with each other. The research shows that: the formation process of Chinatown in San Francisco and the scope of the block are deeply influenced by the world political pattern in the early 20th century, the multi-party regulations of China and the United States, and the relationship between China and the United States, the architectural style of the block is influenced by Eastern and Western cultures. The architecture is deeply influenced by the architectural style of southern Fujian, and the new buildings are mainly in the modernist architectural style. Among the main factors affecting the evolution of Chinatown in San Francisco, gold rush, earthquakes, traditional Chinese architectural styles, and immigration policies to China are the internal mechanisms for the formation of Chinatown’s spatial characteristics.
