The locking mechanism secures a valve in position against tampering, the valve having a rising spindle (2) enclosed by a spindle nut (3) which cannot slide axially in the housing. This is coupled by sliding pins (6) to a driving disc (5), which is held out of engagement by a locking bolt.
A cowl (15) enclosing the disc is mounted on the housing, while the locking bolt engages in a sleeve (19) sliding axially inside the cowl. In the locked position, the disc engages via the sleeve with fixed parts of the housing. It has external teeth (30), in which the internal teeth of gear rings (28,29) sliding in the radial direction engage. A spring-loaded (33) locking slide (32) is guided by the outside surface of the rings, and engages in an axial bore in the sleeve (34,19) outside the locking position.
USE -Allows locking of valve in precisely- adjusted position.
