NOVELTY - The substrate (36) is held and lifted by a gripper unit (20). The receiver (15) is moved to a position below it and the substrate is laid down into the receiver. A separation layer is gripped and lifted from a supply container (18) using a second gripper (30). The receiver is moved back under the second gripper and the separation layer is lowered onto the substrate previously placed there. The foregoing stages are repeated.
USE - To place circuit boards delivered e.g. by a roller track, into a receiver container, with intervening separator sheets.
ADVANTAGE - The boards are handled carefully, whilst adding them and the separator sheets in alternation, as rapidly as possible to the receiver. Design is simplified by fixing both gripper units in position; their only movement is vertical.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the equipment used.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - A vertical elevation of the apparatus is seen.
