Hotel Process Simulator prepared in frame of project Innovation of Tourism Management Systems Using the Process Management Tools and their possibilities will be described in this work. The aim of this article is to describe the possibilities of simulation in the training of hotel staff.
Indoor localization based on iBeacons needs fingerprint database full of data and requires it to maintain it in good condition. During the database filling subjective anomalies indicating a certain dependence of fingerprint data, was found. These subjective findings need to be investigated, verified by mathematical statistics and understood why they arise. The following article is based on the case study and the data of the Faculty of Informatics and Management of the UHK. The article focuses on analyzing data using advanced statistical methods and determining whether the influence of data is affected by accuracy. The goal of this article is to find out if there is any dependency between individual fingerprints, use those results in location algorithms and verify those results in real environment, how this dependence affects further measurements. The discussion describes algorithms that improve database quality and verify it.
The aim of this paper is to analyze basic system architectures and databases for mobile applications specialized in indoor localization. First, it describes system architecture for indoor localization and databases as the bases of all system. Next, several types of system architectures are explored and it is discussed, which of them is the most suitable for indoor localization usage. The paper also describes the most widely used commercial system for localization. The goals of this paper to define and compare different types of system architecture, then compare special needs for indoor localization and review commercially used systems.
We are experiencing increasing interactions between individuals and smart environments, whether it is the interaction of smart devices during ordinary activities or teaching/learning. The virtual world is the type of online community, which is primarily a form of computer-simulated environment that users can use, create, and interconnect certain objects. Currently, there are some schools and educational institutions around the world providing the opportunity to attend part of the training courses using simulation games. Simulators and their possibilities will be described in this work together with examples of utilization of virtual reality for educational purposes.
Pedagogues are the architects of their own classroom settings. Each teacher will bring something of themselves into that environment, their values, their beliefs and above all their knowledge. All of these should underpin the learning that will take place and in turn should support the design of the lesson, the workshop, the seminar, the lecture. At the end of day, traditional education is a social occasion: an interaction between everybody in the class. Even in a onedirectional lecture theatre environment, the lecturer will always bring their own personality, their idiosyncrasies, themselves. So how can we replicate this in a fairly static online environment? This has been my challenge as I have embraced the new arena of the online classroom. My paper will focus on us as individuals and pedagogues and the importance of ensuring that we remain pivotal in the design and delivery of the online element of blended learning.
The computer simulation of the world are predominantly perceptual stimuli that allow the user to manipulate the elements of the model world and create a sense of realism. Modeling and simulation serves primarily to illustrate and describe individual processes, their structure and, above all, their behavior. Using simulation experiments, the entire model is examined under different conditions and in different states that represent different variants of these systems. Simulation as a method is used not only for innovation and for optimization of business processes, but has proven itself in education and human resource development. Currently, there are some schools and educational institutions around the world providing the opportunity to attend part of the training courses using simulation games.
Society producing data at an incredible rate, fuelled by the increasing ubiquity of the Web, and stoked by social media, sensors, and mobile devices. The current rapid development in the field of Big Data brings a new approach to education. The amount of produced data continues to increase, so does the demand for practitioners who have the necessary skills to manage and manipulate this data. Reflecting the call for new knowledge and skills required from Graduates of the Faculty of Informatics and Management, University of Hradec Kralove, the study program Data Science is being prepared. The first step is to ensure the quality of highly professional training program; the faculty started the co-operation with IBM in 2015. The aim of the joint training program BigData EduCloud was to provide students with practical professional skills and prepare them for new positions that have recently been created on the labour market. The program consisted of lectures, workshops and intensive consultations. On the basis of experience with the BigData EduCloud program, the new study program Data Science is being prepared.
\Paper deal with a development of application designed for users of the Android operating system. Its main objective is to alert the user to the arrival of the train in a station while the transfers are also taken into account. We use position sensor to determine the exact GPS location. Based on the travelled distance exact approach of speed train to a station is calculated as well as subsequent wake up of user/traveller. Thanks to this fact, application is able to respond to any train delays. Delayed departure of the train from the initial station is also taken into account. The user can choose how many minutes or how many kilometres before the station wants to wake up.
The paper describes basic principles of a radio-based indoor localization and focuses on the improvement of its results with the aid of a new Bluetooth Low Energy technology. The advantage of this technology lies in its support by contemporary mobile devices, especially by smartphones and tablets. We have implemented a distributed system for collecting radio fingerprints by mobile devices with the Android operating system. This system enables volunteers to create radio-maps and update them continuously. New Bluetooth Low Energy transmitters (Apple uses its “iBeacon” brand name for these devices) have been installed on the floor of the building in addition to existing WiFi access points. The localization of stationary objects based on WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and their combination has been evaluated using the data measured during the experiment in the building. Several configurations of the transmitters’ arrangement, several ways of combination of the data from both technologies, and other parameters influencing the accuracy of the stationary localization have been tested.
Currently one of the most widely used systems for GPS locating is very suitable for outdoor environment, but in buildings is practically not applicable. For indoor locating, the device based on Bluetooth can be used. It can measure and determine the approximate location. This article deals with the issue of building a network of transmitters on the basis of which the position can be determined and presents a new method for the assessment of a layout of individual transmitters in the building.
This bachelor thesis contains and explains the steps for creating a booking system for a middle size dance school. After analysing and comparing SW booking systems of dance schools with different the draft web application was prepared. The application allows processing and booking of client data in the system of the dance school. The main part is the current offer and reservation of dance courses for already registered users. The systems uses technologies such as HTML, CSS, PHP and Oracle.
This paper deals with mobility and mobile business systems and focuses on mobile business processes and problems of catching mobility and mobile features of processes. BPMN notation seems to be a promising tool provided, that this notation is supplemented and enriched in a way mentioned in the article. The improvements of BPMN are briefly described and used in sample applications. Authors experience with BPMN notation in mobility is mentioned also. Latest observations of IT development show that customers started to prefer mobility of devices and services recently. We can see the shift from desktop PCs to laptops, netbooks and tablets, from wired lines to wireless mobile network connection. It proves (confirms) the so-called Law of Mobility, which was formulated by Russell McGuire and which says that "the value of any product or service grows with its mobility" [9]. Mobile devices and technologies already offer number of multimedia and entertainment possibilities. They but also have the vast potential for utilization in business informatics for the support of different business processes. This text is focused mainly on the problem of support of mobile processes, but the possibility to transform selected static processes to the mobile ones can be also considered. Business process modelling is based on visual models well understandable for all people participating in the process of business analysis. Business Process Model Notation (BPMN) is widely used tool for business modelling. The article first discusses BPMN's ability to deal with mobile business processes and introduces some suggestions for its extension in order to describe and mark better mobility in business process modelling. The second part of the article introduces basic terminology of the area and the next one analyses different aspects of mobility (time, location, position context). Useful "mobile" extensions of BPMN, like positional events, mobile activities, mobile participants etc. are developed at the end of the article.

The substance of the project "Models of firms with mobile oriented architecture" is creation and research of the comprehensive system of models of firms having mobile oriented architecture. This system includes mainly process models and service oriented models (SOA). The integral part of the solution will be also the proposal of transformation process leading towards mobile oriented architecture. The starting point of research will be analysis of present use of mobile attitudes in the area of m-commerce and m-business in the Czech republic and in the world from the point of view of ways, scopes, and effectiveness of using currently available mobile technologies as well as trends in this area. The models will describe possibility of using of mobile solution on different levels of management, for the support of business processes, processes of IT management and processes of providing IT services. Accessible mobile device offer already basic environment for creation mobile application, despite of the number of users and companies use only basic provided ICT services like voice, SMS sending, eventually access to e-mail boxes or connection to the internet. In the Czech market, there exist only very few companies, which are using mobile device for access to their company IT system. A lot of these companies has supranational character and their SW solutions are imported and adapted for Czech market. It is possible to claim, mobile technologies forerun the developement in area of implementation of new managing methods and process architectures with mobility elements. In consequence of implementing these technologies to the firm, there is comming necessary rebuilding of number of business processes.
The growing number of smart devices sold on the market and their falling prices open number of possibilities to use them in many situations and to support different processes. These devices allow users to work from any place using the distributed model of communication or they can be used thanks to their positioning services in new situations and contexts to support business processes in completely new ways. The contribution introduces some possible extensions to the well known. Business process modelling notation in order to express the mobility in process via widely used BPMN diagrams.
