Equitable transport aims to enhance social integration by improving access to jobs, services, and education, especially for low-income residents. However, evidence on the impact of transport accessibility on social segregation remains limited. Using six years of mobile trajectory data from over five million residents in Beijing, this study examines how subway accessibility reduces the segregation of low-income residents from high-income residents in activity spaces. Based on the Capabilities-Functionings-Wellbeing framework, the results show that improved subway accessibility significantly reduces the segregation of low-income residents in both work-related and non-work-related activity spaces. This effect is driven primarily by changes in their travel behavior, including adjustments in travel distance, destination choices, and subway usage. Although low-income residents in informal housing have lower subway accessibility than those in formal housing, they experience comparable reductions in segregation. The findings shed new light on the impact of subways on transport equity in rapidly urbanizing cities.
Spatial association analysis is essential for understanding interdependencies, spatial proximity, and distribution patterns within spatial data. The spatial scale is a key factor that significantly affects the result of spatial association mining. Traditional methods often rely on a fixed distance threshold (bandwidth) to define the scale effect, which can lead to scale sensitivity and discontinuity results. To address these limitations, this study introduces the Fuzzy Geographically Weighted Colocation Quotient (FGWCLQ) method. By integrating fuzzy theory, FGWCLQ replaces binary distance cutoffs with continuous membership functions, providing a more flexible and stable approach to spatial association mining. Using Point of Interest (POI) data from the Beijing urban area, FGWCLQ was applied to explore both intra- and inter-category spatial association patterns among star hotels, transportation facilities, and tourist attractions at different fuzzy neighborhoods. The results indicate that FGWCLQ can reliably discover global prevalent spatial associations among diverse facility types and visualize the spatial heterogeneity at various spatial scales. Compared to the deterministic GWCLQ method, FGWCLQ delivers more stable and robust results across varying spatial scales and generates more continuous association surfaces, which enable clear visualization of hierarchical clustering. Empirical findings provide valuable insights for optimizing the location of star hotels and supporting decision-making in urban planning. The method is available as an open-source Matlab package, providing a practical tool for diverse spatial association investigations.
Over the past two decades, supply chain partnership management and ambidexterity strategies have advanced significantly. However, there remains a lack of understanding regarding the factors influencing partnership creation and development. This study presents a theory-driven model that integrates ambidexterity concepts to categorize supply chain partner relationships, evaluating their impact on firm performance. The research contributes in three key ways: firstly, it explains how external factors shape a firm's supply chain exploration and exploitation. Secondly, it profiles supply chain partnerships as they evolve, recommending ambidexterity adjustments. Thirdly, it examines the link between partner types and firm performance. Additionally, enterprise information systems play a pivotal role in implementing collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment in supply chain networks.

The hotel business has entered an era of growth as a result of China's economy's quick development. The development opportunities are accompanied by the pressure of competition. After hotels of different brands and types enter the market, how can they seize customer resources under pressure to gain more shares?Under the condition that the profitability of star rated hotels is worrying, how can they base themselves on the perspective of customers, deeply tap customer needs and wishes, and constantly improve customer satisfaction, striving for more customers and creating more business income have become the key to the achievement of star hotels. This paper looked at the impacts of customer relationship management on customer satisfaction to determine whether it has an impact on patron loyalty to the starred hotel. This research evaluated customer satisfaction in terms of service attitude, perceived value, and customer value; it also described the customer loyalty of the starred hotel in terms of loyal attitude, behavioral loyalty, and emotional loyalty; and it tested the significant relationship link customer relationship management practices and customer response, maintenance, and identification. Finally, based on the findings, a comprehensive CRM framework was created. This examines the findings of in-depth interviews with corporate executives, employees, and executives who have settled in star rated hotels, as well as data collected through questionnaires. It used quantitative analytic approaches to do multivariate statistical analysis with SPSS software. The quantitative analysis results were then organically merged to create a CRM consolidated framework based on the data content of the questionnaire response. There was discussion of descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis.Customer happiness and loyalty are significantly associated, according to the study's findings, with better customer relationship management leading to increased customer satisfaction and loyalty.Because there is a significant positive relationship between customer happiness and customer relationship management, CSAT is expected to rise as CRM quality improves. The study also discovered a substantial positive relationship between customer relationship management and customer loyalty, suggesting that loyalty is strongly related to CRM quality.
With the rapid development of information technology, the increasing use of mobile digital devices and efforts from the whole society, the healthcare information systems (HISs) are moving towards a new era. However, there is still a lack of clear understanding of the benefits of HIS at the hospital level and the influential factors for HIS effectiveness. In this study, we propose a research framework to explain how HIS implementation improves hospital performance. Our results reinforce the positive effect of HIS on hospital performance. In particular, we found that HIS implementation increases both the cost and revenue of the hospitals, but the increasing effect in revenue is much bigger than the increasing effect in cost. We also found that although both small and big hospitals benefit from the implementation of HIS, the effect of size is different. Size has a positive effect on hospital performance for small hospitals but has a negative effect on big hospitals. This indicates that the competitive advantage of economies of scale disappears for big hospitals because the level of information transparency becomes lower and transaction costs become higher as size increases.
In recent years, the telecom industry has faced digital transformation challenges and fierce market competition. The challenges push telecom operators to grow their subscriber bases by offering lower prices and improved services and new features, which puts pressure on operators' profitability. In addition, the rise of Internet companies gradually erodes the profit of the traditional telecom operators. Therefore, paying attention to the critical factors impacting firm sustainable growth can help operators get out of the predicament. Based on the resource-based view (RBV), this study explores the factors that influence the firm sustainable growth. Multiple regression model is applied to empirically test the hypotheses with longitudinal time-series panel data from major telecom operators in China. The study provides empirical evidence for sustainable growth research and useful insights for practitioners on the way to keep sustainable growth.
An intelligent decision support information system is applied to develop an artificial intelligence (AI)-driven solution to reduce patient waiting time in a hospital without an appointment system to improve healthcare service quality. The bottlenecks were identified, and then the healthcare service process was reengineered through the proposed shortest-consultation time (SCT) model to increase the capacity for serving patients and the synchronization between capacity and patient arrival patterns. The study made several meaningful observations: (1) It is feasible to apply an AI-driven solution to reduce patient waiting time in a hospital with no appointment system to improve healthcare service quality; (2) analytical models are helpful in identifying characteristics of patient flow problems; (3) the implementation of a few performance factors gives most of the improvements, and (4) theory of constraint (TOC) is a method that can be applied to improve patient service qualification.
Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an important driving force leading the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation worldwide. AI empowers green radical innovation (GRI), a vital strategic orientation for high-tech enterprises. To explore the relationship between research and development (R&D) investment and GRI and identify the contingency factors that affect the relationship, this paper proposes a framework and conducts a survey to test it. The findings indicate that R&D investment and GRI have an inverted U-shaped relationship, that organizational learning meditates the relationship and that management process innovation and organization structure innovation moderate the relationship positively and negatively, respectively. The findings clarify the intermediate mechanism of the transformation from R&D investment to GRI. They will help high-tech enterprises improve their innovation ability and achieve technological leapfrogging and sustainable development in the context of AI and the green economy.
This paper identifies opportunities for potential theoretical and practical improvements in employees' awareness of cybersecurity and their motivational behavior to protect themselves and their organizations from cyberattacks using the protection motivation theory. In addition, it contributes to the literature by examining additional variables and mediators besides the core constructs of the Protection Motivation Model (PMT). This article uses empirical data and structural equation modeling to test the antecedents and mediators of employees' cybersecurity motivational behavior. The study offers theoretical and pragmatic guidance for cybersecurity programs. First, the model developed in this study can partially explain how people may change their cybersecurity protection behavior about security threats and coping actions. Secondly, the result of the study indicates that security coping factors are reliable predictors in projecting individual intention to take protective measures. Third, organizational effort in combatting cyber threats and increasing employee awareness is significantly associated with the use of cyber threat coping processes. Additionally, several practical prescriptions are suggested based on gender, generations, and types of organizations. For example, government organizations have taken well-designed cybersecurity measures and developed detailed protocols to enhance employees’ motivational behavior. Finally, future cybersecurity training materials should adapt to the unique traits of different generations, especially the Gen Edge group and digital natives for all cybersecurity subjects.

The paper explores the relationship among technological innovation, technological trajectory transition, and firms' innovation performance. Technological innovation is studied from the perspectives of innovation novelty and innovation openness. Technological trajectory transition is categorized into creative cumulative technological trajectory transition and creative disruptive technological trajectory transition. A structural equation model is developed and tested with data collected by surveying 366 Chinese firms. The results indicate that both innovation novelty and innovation openness positively affect creative cumulative technological trajectory transition as well as creative disruptive technological trajectory transition. Innovation openness and creative disruptive technological trajectory transition both positively affect firms' innovation performance. However, neither innovation novelty nor creative cumulative technological trajectory transition positively affects firms' innovation performance. Implications for managers and directions for future studies are discussed.
