个人简介
Eugene Agichtein is an Assistant Professor in the Mathematics and Computer Science Department at Emory University, where he directs the Intelligent Information Access Laboratory. Previously, Eugene was a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Text Mining, Search, and Navigation group at Microsoft Research, working on text and web mining and user behavior analysis for improving web search. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University in 2005, and a B.S. in Engineering from The Cooper Union in 1998. Eugene is a recipient of the “Best Student Paper” award at the ICDE 2003 conference, the “Best Paper Award” at the SIGMOD 2006 conference. Eugene's research interests are in web search and information retrieval, with emphasis on user behavior modeling, collaboratively-generated content, and medical informatics. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation, HP Labs, Microsoft, Yahoo!, EBay/Shopping.com, Motorola, and the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center at Emory.
