个人简介
Peter M. Smowton received the B.Sc. degree in physics and electronics and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wales, Cardiff, U.K., in 1987 and 1991, respectively. He is the Director of the EPSRC Future Compound Semiconductor Manufacturing Hub, which is a U.K. multi-university research project focused on the manufacturing processes for the Compound Semiconductor materials and devices that drive much of the technology that underpins our lives. He is currently the Managing Director of the Institute of Compound Semiconductors, which is a University translational research facility focused on the fabrication of compound semiconductor devices and integrated systems. He is a Professor of optoelectronic device physics and the Head of the School of Physics and Astronomy with Cardiff University, Cardiff, U.K. He is also a Director of the Compound Semiconductor Centre, Cardiff.
