Bio

Hassene Tmar joined eBrisk Video in 2013, where he developed video quality improvement algorithms for HEVC-based realtime encoders. As a technical product manager at Intel, he led a team to open source the Scalable Video Technology codecs (SVT-HEVC, SVT-VP9, and SVT-AV1), optimized such encoders on Intel Xeon CPUs, and provided extensive technical support to Intel’s customers for next-generation video transcoding products based on the open-source SVT encoders. Then, he joined Meta as a technical program manager for media and calling, helping the Video Processing Infrastructure Team.
