Alexander V. Rozhkov received the M.S. degree in electronics engineering from Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University, Saint Petersburg, Russia, in 1978, and the Ph.D. degree from the Ioffe Institute, Saint Petersburg, in 1986.
He joined the Ioffe Institute in 1978, where he has overall responsibility for development and research of A3B5 pulsed power devices. His many years of experience are particularly concerned with optically switched gallium arsenide superfast heterothyristors.
