Career Trajectory
Bio
Adam Milstein (Member, IEEE) has been a member of the Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Lexington, MA, USA, since 2004. He has led and contributed to a wide variety of projects related to electro-optics and remote sensing of the Earth. Recently, he has served as a Principal Investigator of the Computational Reconfigurable Imaging Spectrometer (CRISP), an instrument concept aimed at making multi- and hyperspectral infrared measurements on smaller spacecraft. He is also leading development of neural network algorithms for retrieving vertical profiles of temperature and water vapor from microwave and hyperspectral infrared sounders as part of NASA’s Sounder Science Team. His other work has included CubeSat attitude control system development, laser radar signal processing algorithm development, diffuse optical tomography, and image navigation and registration for geostationary satellite imagery.
