ed by alan stocker, research in the computational perception and cognition (CPC) laboratory is aimed at finding a principled, normative description of perceptual and cognitive behaviors. is there a general underlying hypothesis that can explain human perception and cognition, and thus allows us to connect a wide range of seemingly unrelated behaviors? the focus is on deriving mathematical models based on such a hypothesis, and to test them with psychophysical and (through collaboration) physiological experiments. the laboratory's logo is meant to reflect this interdisciplinary approach.
