Mathematical modelling, analysis, and numerical simulation of processes from the life, material, and natural sciences (tumour models, cell and tissue self-organisation, bone fracture healing, multiscale mechanical properties of bone tissue, homogenisation).
Numerical methods for the simulation of local and nonlocal taxis-diffusion-reaction systems from mathematical biology (pattern formation, tumour angiogenesis, tumour invasion, cell adhesion).
Development and analysis of time integration schemes for differential equations. This includes high-order two-step peer methods and their use as time-stepping schemes in the adaptive Finite Element software Kardos.
Development and numerical realisation of efficient schemes for uncertainty quantification in models from the life and material sciences.
