Mark used to work in the Technology Algorithms Group at the Earlham Institute with the aim of developing an air sampling system for the rapid detection of biological pathogens via DNA sequencing on the Nanopore platform. Mark had extensive experience of research using computational biology approaches to analyse the microbial communities that exist in and around us.
