Bio
Amin Coja-Oghlan studied Mathematics and Computer Science in Hamburg and Berlin and graduated with a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Hamburg in 2002. From 2002 to 2006, he held postdoc/visiting lecturer positions at the Computer Science Institute of Humboldt University Berlin, where he obtained a Habilitation in 2005. After spending a year at Carnegie Mellon University, he joined the University of Edinburgh as a Reader in 2008. In 2010, he moved to the University of Warwick and, finally, joined Goethe University as a professor in 2012. Currently he holds an ERC Starting Grant, “Phase transitions and computational complexity.”
