个人简介
Reproduction modes contribute significantly to plant diversity and thereby to adaptation in different environments. Using as models sea-lavenders (Limonium) wild relatives and crop species we investigate natural variation, chromosome, genome, reproductive biology in diploids and polyploids in control and upon stress conditions.
Another topic of research is wild flora assessment in human-modified habitats in Portugal, and applied efforts to preserve plant diversity in situ and ex situ.
