Andreja Samčović was born in Belgrade, Serbia, in 1963. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1989 and 1995, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, in 2005, where he is currently a Professor of information and communication technologies. He has taught a number of courses, seminars, tutorials, and invited lectures. He taught master’s course in Saint-Etienne, France, as well as at the summer school on Cyprus. He is also a Visiting Professor and a Scholar Worldwide (universities in numerous countries, such as Germany, U.K., Austria, and Slovakia). His areas of expertise are multimedia signal processing (audio, image, and video), multimedia compression by various techniques, multimedia communications, and information security. He has published more than 150 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has participated in research national and international projects (COST, bilateral projects). His activities include reviews in international journals and conferences.
