I am researcher and developer, in computer vision, image processing, computational photography, and machine learning. I've worked in both industry and academia. I've managed teams, supervised students, taught engineering courses in top universities, written and won grants, and contributed individually.

I enjoy working with image pixels, graph problems, image science, and large data problems. I have thorough knowledge of digital image enhancement and computer vision algorithms. I love working on problems related to geo-tagged multimedia and images of people. In my PhD research, I studied the analysis of photos of people using context (external information) that showed, for example, that age estimation of a face is improved if the first name of the person is known, since first names rise and fall in popularity over time.
