Annemarie Poustka

Dr. Annemarie Poustka is the head of the Division of Molecular Genome Analysis at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ) in Heidelberg and is a Professor at the University of Heidelberg. She studied Medicine at the University of Vienna and obtained her PhD at the University of London. Professor Poustka plays a key role in German genome research and her expertise is in demand in national and international organizations as member of advisory and supervisory boards. She is the spokeswoman for the project committee of the German National Genome Project (NGFN) and she is a member of the advisory board for the Genome Research Program GEN-AU Austria. Professor Poustka holds numerous patents in the field of genome science and is founder of two biotech companies
