Education Qualifications: MBBS, MS(Ophth), M Med(Ophth), MRCSEd, FRCS(Ed), FAMS
Dr Arundhati Anshu graduated from SCB Medical College, Utkal University, India in 1997 and was awarded Honours and Gold Medal in General Surgery, Pharmacology and Pathology. She did her Masters in Surgery (Ophthalmology) from Utkal University and became a Member of Royal College of Edinburgh in 2002. She was awarded the Master of Medicine by National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2003. Dr Anshu became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. Thereafter she went on to do sub-specialized fellowship training in Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery from Singapore National Eye Centre and Price Vision Group, Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.
In addition to management of cataract and anterior segment disorders, Dr Anshu’s clinical interests are in the areas of corneal transplantation, corneal infections and LASIK refractive surgery.
Dr Anshu is an Adjunct Senior Clinical Investigator with the Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and her research interests include corneal and anterior segment disorders as well as corneal transplantation techniques. She has authored several manuscripts in international peer reviewed journals.
She is an avid educator and enjoys her time teaching both the YLL-NUS and the Duke-NUS medical students as well as the Ophthalmology residents and Corneal fellows.
