I am an ecologist by training focused on understanding people-nature interactions with a particular interest in understanding and articulating solutions for conservation conflicts. I study the complexity of the ecological, economic, ethical, and psychological factors that influence conservation. I served as Lead Author in the IPBES Global Values Assessment (2018-2022).
