I am working with SpiNNaker project team who are designing an architecture of massively paralleled ARM processors, targeting spiking neural networks simulation. This is a project in collaboration with University of Manchester. Here, in University of Southampton, we are focusing on the application level of the problem.
I have been investigating Coupled-Nonlinear-Oscillator Networks and their computational capabilities with Dr Koushik Maharatna. It might sound weird, but very beautiful and I believe that there is a potential in it for future computing systems.
I have been working on High Level Synthesis of Computational Hardware with professor Mark Zwolinski in School of Electronics and Computer Science at University of Southampton. My research concerned with the development and validation of specific-application High Level Synthesis method to implement computational algorithms in digital hardware. Special emphasis is placed upon datapath structure and accuracy analysis and optimisation between computational error and hardware implementation costs.
