Benjamin H. Brinkmann

Benjamin H. Brinkmann received the bachelor's degree in physics and biology from North Park University, Chicago, IL, USA, and the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the Mayo Graduate School, Rochester, MN, USA, in 1999. He is an Assistant Professor of neurology and biomedical engineering with the Mayo Clinic, where he is an Analytical Scientist with the Clinical Epilepsy Group, and pursues research interests in seizure forecasting and neuroimaging for epilepsy. He was a CEO 3-D Medical Imaging with a small consulting company, through which he performed 3-D craniofacial surgery simulation and planning, and in 2008 returned to Mayo Clinic to work with G. Worrell's group on EEG biomarkers of epilepsy. In 2014, he began supporting the clinical epilepsy practice at Mayo with imaging and EEG analytics while continuing his research in epilepsy imaging and neurophysiology.
