He was selected as an NC State University Faculty Scholar in 2020. He received the 2016 NC State University Outstanding Teacher Award and is a member of the NC State Academy of Outstanding Teachers. He was also a recipient of the 2015 William F. Lane Oustanding Teaching Award for ECE, the 2015 NCSU Chancellor's Innovation Award , and the 2011 DARPA Young Faculty Award. He was a two-time recipient of the Lewis Winner Award for the best paper at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference (ISSCC) in 2004 and 2006 and a two-time recipient of the Pat Goldberg Memorial Awards for the best paper in computer science, electrical engineering, and mathematics within IBM Research in 2006 and 2011. He received an IBM Faculty Award in 2015 and was a winner of the 2000 SRC Copper Design Challenge.
He directs the iNtegrated Circuits and Systems lab at NC State (iNCS2). His research interests include RF and millimeter-wave integrated radios, radiometers, and radars.
