Bruce Donald is the James B. Duke Professor of Computer Science at Duke University, Professor of Chemistry, and Professor of Biochemistry in the Duke University Medical Center. He is also Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Duke Pratt School of Engineering. Bruce Donald received a B.A. from Yale University, and a Ph.D. from MIT. He was a professor in the Computer Science Department at Cornell University from 1987-1998. Donald received a National Science Foundation Presidential Young Investigator Award, and was named a Guggenheim Fellow for his work on algorithms for structural proteomics. He is a Fellow of the ACM, Fellow of the AAAS, and Fellow of the IEEE.
