Bio
I have a degree in Biology and a M.Sc. in Ecology and Environmental Management from University of Lisbon. I have developed research in several fields related with biodiversity and climate change. My research covered the areas of biodiversity modelling (both functional connectivity and species distribution models), climate modelling (analysis of regional climate change scenarios), modelling of water availability and quality, and stakeholder engagement. I work as a grant holder at Centre for Ecology, Evolution and Environmental Changes (cE3c) since 2017, where I participated in two consultancy projects: Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the Algarve Intermunicipal Community (PIAAC-AMAL) and Climate Change Adaptation Plan for the Oeiras Municipality (PMAACO).
Currently, I am part of the research project Optimal Greening of Irrigated farmland to achieve a prime environment (OPTIMUS PRIME), where my main task is to assess current and future water availability and quality, under different scenarios of climate change and land-use. In this project, special attention is given to Nature-Based Solutions.
