Carlo GhezziProfessor

I am an ACM Fellow, IEEE Fellow, Member of Academia Europaea, Member of the Italian Academy of Sciences (Istituto Lombardo). I have been awarded the 2015 ACM SIGSOFT Outstanding Research Award, the 2006 ACM SIGSOFT Distinguished Service Award, the 2018 IEEE-CS-TCSE Distinguished Educator Award. I have been on the evaluation board of several international research projects and institutions in Europe, Japan, and the USA.
My research has been focusing on software engineering and programming languages. I am especially interested in principles, methods, and tools to improve dependability of software and its ability to self-adapt and evolve, in the context of ubiquitous/pervasive computer applications. I co-authored over 200 papers and 8 books. I coordinated several national and international (EU funded) research projects and I have been awarded an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council.
