Bio
To improve the human condition with robotic interventions, I have developed rehabilitative and assistive technologies to address the impairment of the hand and wrist after a neurological injury. Investigating rehabilitative interventions to restore lost function when possible, and developing assistive technologies to replace lost function when necessary creates a balanced approach towards increasing independence and quality of life. Advances in assistive and rehabilitative interventions require combining expertise from disparate fields through a consultative research style like mine. I am seeking to combine my expertise in robotics with clinical collaborators and end users to move these radical projects forward and establishing regional partnerships towards achieving my long term vision.
