Bio
Dr Chen Changwei is an associate professor of diplomacy and foreign policy at the School of International Studies, Peking University. He is the director of the Master of International Relations (MIR) Program at the school. He is also an Assistant Dean of Yenching Academcy at PKU. He holds doctoral degrees from Peking University and the University of Sydney. Before joining the faculty of PKU, he was a research fellow/ visiting scholar to the Australian Prime Ministers’ Research Centre, the Australian National University, Yale University and National Chengchi University. He teaches courses in areas such as Chinese foreign policy, Sino-American relations, theories and practice of diplomacy as well as research methodology in social science. His most recent publications appeared in The Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History, Australian Journal of Politics and History. He has also published a number of articles on the history of Sino-American relations and the Cold War in Chinese journals.
