Highly interested in AI research and its commercialization. Also responsible for developing AI strategies at OPPO.
Leading a team to work on cutting-edge AI technologies and deliver them to the products (on both cloud side and mobile devices). Projects include: AIGC, large language models, video understanding (classification, search, moment search, recommendation, summarization), image/video enhancement (denoising, superresolution, HDR), image/video OCR, image/video object detection and segmentation, multi-modal learning, video style transfer, facial landmark detection, machine translation, apps recommendation, and anomaly detection. Also making efforts to accelerate and compress deep learning models.
Formerly trained as a theoretical physicist, with about 50 publications in high energy theory and cosmology. Particularly good at constructing mathematically economical models to explain and predict experimental data. Served 18 well-known journals as a referee many times. Won a prize in the annual International Gravity Essay Competition (previous winners included Stephen Hawking).
Designing deep learning models to identify the genes responsible for height and heritable diseases in genomics data from 500k individuals.
Familiar with: blockchain, derivatives trading, time-series analysis, and stochastic calculus. Have experience analyzing high-frequency trading data for bond futures (all bids, asks and transactions in 2012).
