Bio
Christian Oberli (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree (Hons.) in electrical engineering and the M.S. degree in automatic control applied to biomedical engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC), Santiago, Chile, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA), Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1994, 1996, and 2004, respectively.
Since 2005, he has been with the faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, PUC, where he conducts research and education in wireless communications. He is currently the Head of the Wireless Technologies Laboratory and is also an Associate Researcher with the National Research Center for Integrated Natural Disasters Management. His current research interests include wireless sensor networks and resilience of communications systems, including theoretical aspects as well as prototype development, and testbed implementations.
