He leads a multidisciplinary team of epidemiologists, analysts, and GIS experts (n=14) responsible for conducting global health surveillance of emerging, re-emerging, and novel infectious diseases (e.g. Ebola, COVID-19) and advanced disease forecasting for the US Defense Health Agency/AFHSD. Also, he has 20+ years of experience in infectious diseases, biostatistics, health surveillance, and project management, as well as has conducted and participated on research studies in South and Central America, Africa, Southeast Asia, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus region. Currently, he has published over 95 articles in scientific peer-reviewed journals and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for many journals.
