Christoph Ostgathe

Christoph Ostgathe was born in Sinzig/Rhein, Germany, in 1965. He received the Graduate degree from Medical School and the Dr. Med. degree from the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhems-University, Bonn, Germany, in 1994 and 2004, respectively. He was trained as an Anaesthesiologist, Pain Specialist, and Palliative Medicine Physician at the Academic Teaching Hospital Malteser, Bonn, Germany. In 2004, he was appointed as a Consultant and Deputy Head of the Department at the Centre for Palliative Medicine, University of Cologne, Germany. Since 2010, he has been the Founding Chair for Palliative Medicine, Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, and the Head of the Palliative Medicine Department, University Hospital Erlangen, Germany.
