Bio
Dr. Christopher Lueg is a Professor of Computing at the University of Tasmania (Australia) where he convenes the Information & Interaction (i2) research group. Dr. Lueg's expertise is in Human Centered Computing (Human Centered Design) which he explores and leverages in cross-disciplinary collaborations. Human Centered Computing is the design, development, and evaluation of technologies that meet the needs of clients in work and leisure contexts. This includes studying the way clients experience a potential or actual use situation, exploring the kinds of information that they may need to engage in certain activities, and how this information can be presented such that the information becomes relevant. Dr. Lueg was appointed Honorary Research Fellow (2009-2012) of the Graduate School of Library and Information Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign (USA). He also served as Interim Co-Director (Development) of the newly established Human Interface Technology Lab Australia (HIT Lab AU) in 2010-2011. For several years he organised for the University of Tasmania to be a participant in the Swiss-lead Global "ShanghAI" Lectures about Natural and Artificial Intelligence.
