个人简介
I have broad interests in intelligent video compression (in particular, deep learning based video coding). My research topics are three-folds:
Developing effective and fundamental methods for video coding and processing, and their potentials for standardization.
Exploring the intersection between data-trained models and emerging technology in image/video codecs.
Building practical systems including video encoding/decoding, delivery/streaming and processing for both human and machine utility. I am also excited about building energy-efficient visual information interaction systems to real-world scenarios.
I also have been an active participants of two communities: IEEE 1857.11 standard for neural network based image compression and MPAI EEV for end-to-end video coding.
