I am a computer engineer with research interests in Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning and AI. I am current working at IBM Research in New Delhi where I lead the global content analytics strategy for IBM’s personalized learning solutions. I am responsible for identifying research problems that need to be addressed to provide low cost personalized education at scale. This includes the research and development of IBM’s analytics enabled learning content repository in collaboration with teams in IBM Analytics Bangalore, IBM Research New York & IBM Research Tokyo. The content repository automatically analyzes learning content and generates meta-data that is useful for personalized learning applications. I have over 7 years of industry experience working on various aspects of software development and research. I have spent 3 years in different product teams developing and contributing new features for general availability, as well as fix pack releases. Over the last 4 years, I have focused on developing innovative research solutions for many real world applications using Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing in the areas of Education, Tourism, Social Media & Customer Relationship Management, Information Management & Noisy Data Cleansing. I have published fifteen research papers in top ranked conferences and have filed over nine patents during this time. I completed my B.E in Computer Engineering from the Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology in 2007 and my M.Phil in Advanced Computer Science from the University of Cambridge in 2012. I'm currently a third year part time PhD student at the Data Analytics and Intelligence Research group at the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi where my research is being co-advised by Dr. Parag Singla and Dr. Mausam.
