Throughout his career, David has been dedicated to exploring the intricate realms of both cellular and Wi-Fi networks. His primary research interests encompass large-scale network modeling, network performance analysis, network planning and optimization, small cells, massive MIMO, green networking, drone communications, big data, machine learning, and innovative technology and feature development.
As main contribution, David contributed to advancing the theoretical understanding of small cells and ultra-dense networks. He has also pioneered groundbreaking work in areas such as cellular and Wi-Fi inter-working, network energy efficiency, and the development of multi-antenna capabilities and ultra-reliable low-latency features for hyper-critical wireless networks.
David's leadership experience is equally diverse, having managed interdisciplinary research teams of varying sizes at both Nokia Bell Labs and Huawei Technologies.
