个人简介
Debprakash Patnaik, PhD, Knowledge Discovery & Data mining (KDD)
I currently work at Scibler. We are building the next generation AI to help people schedule meetings.
I spent 4 years at Amazon.com in Seattle, WA, building machine learning based information extraction systems for the Amazon product catalog.
I completed my PhD in Computer Science at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA this August 2011. The title of thesis is: "Multiple Uses of Frequent Episodes in Temporal Process Modeling" [ETD]. My thesis adviser was Dr. Naren Ramakarishnan
My research includes various aspects of temporal data mining like statistical modeling of frequent episode mining algorithms, parallel algorithms for temporal data mining on accelerator graphics hardware, motif discovery algorithms for time series and streaming pattern mining in discrete event sequences.
In my past life I have worked as a Researcher at General Motors R&D in Bangalore, India. And have a masters degree in System Science and Automation (batch of 2004-2006) from Electrical Engineering Dept., Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Prof P. S. Sastry was my thesis adviser. And did my undergraduate study at UCE, Burla, Orissa in Electronics and Tele-communication (batch of 2002).
I have also been actively involved in development of frequent episode mining tool known as TDMiner/GMiner
