I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) at Queen's University Belfast, UK in the EEECS School (KDE Cluster). Previously, I was a Researcher in the Information Management Department at IBM Research - India at Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I did my Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering at the Department of CSE at Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, India. My advisors were Prof. Deepak Khemani and Dr. Sutanu Chakraborti. Prior to this, I did my M.Tech and B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Madras and Model Engineering College respectively. My research interests broadly lie in the area of mining unstructured and structured data. In particular, some of the major themes that I have worked on include Similarity Search in Databases , Mining of Textual Problem Solution Repositories , Retrieval methods for semi-structured data sources and Unsupervised Learning Methods .
