Research interests
Dimitria’s research Interests incorporate and intersect 3 key areas in the sphere of international mobility in the business context, including: (i)high skilled and low skilled labour mobility,governance and the experience of internationally mobile workers; (ii) cultural diversity with a particular focus on culturally diverse leaders; and (iii) refugee employment, education and settlement strategies and outcomes.
The projects Dr Groutsis is currently working on include:
Culturally diverse leaders, specifically:
The experience of culturally diverse women (aspiring) leaders, in collaboration with the Diversity Council Australia
Cultural Diversity and non-executive directors of the ASX 100 in partnership with the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Human Rights Commission (with Cooper and Whitwell)
Devising strategies and interventions to address the critical drop off of culturally diverse aspiring leaders in the pathway to leadership, in partnership with Deloitte (with Di van den Broek)
Refugee Employment, Education and Settlement Strategies and Outcomes (with Jock Collins and Carol Reid: ARC funded project)
Dr Groutsis has a sustained program of research focusing on internationally mobile workers, the experience of culturally diverse workers and the diversity and inclusion, laws, policies, strategies and initiatives implemented to benefit all workers.
Her expertise includes:

Governance of internationally mobile workers
The experience of culturally diverse men and women leaders
Diversity and Inclusion laws, policies, strategies and initiatives
Refugee employment, education and settlement strategies and outcomes
