Computational scientist with strong expertise in developing machine learning methods (published at NIPS, ICML and ICLR) and extensive experience in analyzing high-dimensional data. I am a member of the European Lab for Learning and Intelligent Systems (ELLIS). My research is related to probabilistic modeling, deep learning (invented ELUs and RFNs), biclustering, recommender systems, Bayesian filtering technique for controlling the false discovery rate, biomarker development, toxicogenomics, drug repositioning and chemoinformatics.
