个人简介
Eduardo Rocon (Member, IEEE) was born in Vitoria, Brazil, in 1979. He received the degree in electrical engineering from Universidade Federal do Espiríto Santo (UFES), in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, in 2006. He is currently a Researcher with the Spanish National Research Council. He leads a research group focused on the development of methods and technologies that could help understand and control human biological systems and their interaction with the environment. He has established an interdisciplinary research program with the mission of collaboratively pursuing the development of innovative methodologies, interventions, and assistive devices to improve the quality of care and quality of life for persons with disabilities. He is working on the development of a novel robotic platform for the gait rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy. His multidisciplinary work has contributed to different aspects of robotics, neuroscience, and medicine. His research activities have generated more than 150 scientific publications, one book, nine book chapters, and seven patents. His career has recently been recognized with the prestigious Juan Lopez de Pe nalver Award of the Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering.
