Bio
My research focuses on engineering sustainability which drives reductions in environmental impacts and the development of sustainable engineering practices. My expertise is in the application of whole systems approaches (life cycle assessment and techno-economic analysis with optimisation algorithm) to sustainable materials and low-carbon technologies. My work has covered a wide range of renewable energy, transportation and industrial sectors, e.g. carbon fibre composite recycling, plastic recycling, municipal solid waste management, wind turbine blade waste prediction and management, renewable chemicals and lithium-ion EV batteries.
